In-character only.TONBERRY - THE MIST W20 - TOPMAST R15Open when we feel like drawing blood,
announced through Party Finder.
THE RULES.
The Fang and Fist is an immersive fight club where roleplayers can prove their mettle in hand-to-hand combat skills, and a third space where brotherhood can be made through victory, loss, and beating the crap out of one another.Even mayhem and anarchy coexist with honor and order. Initiates are required to abide by these rules:
#1
Initiates are to be In-Character (IC) with appropriate formatting. Use the roleplaying tag (type "/roleplaying") within the fight club premises to signify that you consent to engaging in RP.
#2
Try to keep Out-Of-Character (OOC) chatter to a minimum in Say Chat. Should you need to do so, format OOC comments ((within double parentheses)).
#3
Visitors who prefer not to engage in RP and want to spectate or hang out are welcome to do so. 'Course, we invite them to try their hand at the craft.
#4
All IC actions have consequences. Act as if how your character would. Be mindful of how your character's actions would affect players both IC and OOC.
#5
Dismiss minions and hide equipped weapons while in the premises. After all, The Fang and Fist only encourages violence with your whole body as apex weapon.
#6
Keep it respectful. Settle OOC negotiations in private. Keep ERP in tells and party chat. OOC harassment will not be tolerated. Three counts of harassment after warnings will warrant blacklisting.
#7
Only two Initiates can fight at a time, with one fight at a time. If someone says "stop", goes limp, or taps out, the fight is over.
#8
While no rolling or stats are required to fight, deathrolling is encouraged while RPing to turn tides, determine winners, and limit prolonged fights.
#9
/yell or /shout chat is only reserved for fight brokers for OOC announcements.
let violence talk.
The Hrothgar assumes his fighting stance, sweat dripping off his fur as the crowd around the two challengers cheer them on. He defensively waits, his senses keen upon him. | |
↪ | "I'm not holding back," The Aura chuckles as she approaches the Hrothgar man, tying her hair in a knot. With impeccable speed, she throws a fist aimed at his jaw. |
He drops on the floor, dodging the Aura woman's punch, his leg sweeping against her ankles as his vision blurs. He taunts, "Bet you'll fall head over heels for me, ragh!" | ↩ |
↪ | "Flirting won't get you anywhere in this fight, Pretty Boy!" she taunts back as her feet deftly dance around the Hrothgar's leg sweep, pirouetting around him. |
He recovers, pivoting behind her, putting her in a headlock with his arm. He says with a low growl, "You know... a lot of women pay me to choke 'em like this!" | ↩ |
↪ | "Let... go!" she yells out, her voice croaking as she's choked. Her eyes light up with fury, angling her head. She thrusts the sharp end of her horn against his shoulder, digging into skin. |
The hooks.
Of course there's going to be fighting. There's going to be blood and rage. Society tells us we gotta keep all the screwed-up parts of us repressed and denied. Then you're ostracised, cast out as pariah when you let loose what's truly in there. The Fang and Fist is the perfect place to let all that manifest.Damn pretending you're an upstanding member of society and let your demons out with unhinged fury within the confines of the fight pit. At the Fang and Fist, we welcome your rage and your seething anger. When the world screws you over, the only thing to do is bare your teeth and fight back.
blow steam
You just had a terrible day and want to take it out on someone with some fight club-sanctioned violence. You don't need a reason to really throw hands around here, don't you?
settle beef
When the Eorzean justice system fails you, or whether it be a dispute among friends, a healthy and adaptive alternative is to bring both parties into the fight pit and duke it out with their fists. More cost-effective than hiring lawyers and paying court fees.
witness anarchy
Watching two people crack each other's bones is entertainment like no other. Adding to that are those in the sidelines flinching and cussing, commentating and cheering on as blood spills.
tend to Initiates
In order for initiates to fight another day, they'd have to live another day. You might be a concerned member tending to the wounded, trying to find a lost tooth or convincing a fighter that they've had enough.
train initiates
Veteran fighter? Teach new initiates the difference between their right and left hook, and where the most efficient parts of a body to punch are to get your opponent kissing the floor in no time.
everything else
You can take a punch and smile through broken teeth? You're already one of us. Whatever else you think to do here, do it. We're all already near rock bottom, anyway.
